WEEK5 - CIABATTA

**FORGOT TO TAKE A PHOTO OF FINISH PRODUCT. PHOTO WILL BE UP TOMORROW**
HIII. Today I am going to show you how to make ciabatta. Ciabatta is an
Italian white bread. Ciabatta was first created in 1982 by a baker in Veneto, Italy. The one thing I like about this recipe is that it is simple and delicious. If you decide to make this it does take 18hours to set and another 2 hours before you can bake it, so it is good to do it the night before.

DIFFICULTY: 1/2

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
4 cups plain flour
2 cups warm water
1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon powdered yeast

METHOD:
Step1: Put your flour in a large bowl and make a well in the centre. In the well add your salt and yeast.

Step2: Add your warm water and mix with a small baking spatula.

Step3: Make sure that you mix it very well. When you are mixing it should be very sticky.

Step4: Once you have mixed it well leave it in the bowl as it is and put some glad wrap over it. **THEN LET IT SIT FOR 18 HOURS**

Step5: Once you have let it sit for 18 hours line a baking tray with non stick paper and olive oil.

Step6: You can make 2 loaves of bread. One with olives and one without, or you can just make one. I decided to make 2. If you are going to make two make sure that you grease and line 2 baking trays. Then separate your bread in half.

Step7: Stir your olives through one of the halves and put it on a baking tray when it's mixed. Then put the other plain dough on another baking tray.

Step8: **LEAVE FOR 2 HOURS ON THE TRAYS**

Step9: Once the have set for 2 hours put them in the oven at 215c for 40min // (455f) // (GAS MARK: 7-8)

Then take them out of the oven and Enjoy..
I hope you liked this weeks recipe. If you did come visit again next week for another tasty recipe xoxo
